Contract Java Software Engineer EFX

A Global Investment Banking firm seeks several Java Software Engineers. The successful applicant will be working on the firm's FX RFQ streaming franchise and Venue connectivity utilising Java, FIX, and Tibco/Solace Messaging. Job Responsibilities / Role:Building ultra-low latency connectivity to different ECN FX venues such as 360FX, FX Connect, Bloomberg etc.Utilising Java low-latency software and hardware techniquesDrive the development of a high-performance and scalable technology platformServer-side development with JavaKey Technical and Background required:Very strong core Java - including threading, sockets/networks.Well-versed in TCP/UDP protocols.Solid understanding of OO principles.Unix/Linux experienceKnowledge of financial messaging protocols, especially FIX.Solid SDLC knowledge and use of build, testing, deploy, code analysis toolsKDB is useful.Middleware such as Tibco RV, Solace, AeronKnowledge of eFX/Rates E-Trading Venues is desirable.Experience working with large financial software systems.Knowledge of eTrading RFQ Tag Values
