Contracting Management Advisor Job Specification Main Functions Technical Leadership : Serve as an expert in contract planning, development, administration, and materials management. Key Responsibilities Contracting and Materials Management Strategy Development Translate project objectives into Contracting and Materials Management Strategies. Advise on quality issues and resolution efforts. Conduct Contracting Strategy Workshops (CSWs): Evaluate lead case and fallback options. Assess contractor interests and compensation options. Consider partner requirements and constraints. Review and endorse proposed contracting strategies. Contract Planning Conduct broad contractor community screening and pre-qualification. Review and endorse proposed bid slates. Ensure bid review plans prioritize critical success/failure criteria. Review and endorse contract award recommendations. Contract Administration Scrutinize complex administration matters like incentive plans and major claims resolution. Skill Development Mentor and develop SMEs, EPC Specialists, and CE Advisors. Educate personnel in project contracting. Serve as a trainer in contracting courses (CPDA, Bid Review, ACSM). Assess organizational competencies and skill development plans. External Engagement Engage contractor executive management to develop strategic relationships. Educate partners on company contracting processes and strategy development. Share learnings with Company Affiliate contracting professionals. Organization, Systems, Processes, Procedures Champion continuous improvement and incorporate lessons learned. Assess organizational systems, processes, and procedures to ensure business results. Skills and Qualifications Experience : Contracts engineering/administration/materials management, project leadership. Education : BS in Engineering. Knowledge : Project execution, contracting principles, commercial negotiations, contractor management, contract administration. Other : Willing to travel or relocate, management experience on major projects, owner/operator experience in project management, knowledge of Company controls requirements.
