Contract Solution Architect (Commodities Trading/Brokerage)

Role: Solution ArchitectDomain: Commodities Trading/BrokerageContract: 6 months initialRate: £700-800/d (outside IR35)Location: London (3+ days per week)A leading commodities trading house are offering the opportunity for a Solution Architect to join their team on a 6 month initial contract with longer-term scope, working outside IR35.Responsibilities of the Solution Architect (Commodities Trading/Brokerage)The successful candidate will be working in a front office commodities trading/brokerage environment to transition from legacy systems to a more modern technology stack, supporting a wider transformation journey and ensuring alignment with long-term business goals. Responsibilities will include analysis of current architectural state, documenting application architectures, creating architectural views of current & future states using UML, developing quick-win solutions for out-of-support technologies and proposing longer-term technology solutions that align with the overall business strategy and transformation goals.Requirements for the Solution Architect (Commodities Trading/Brokerage)Extensive enterprise and solution architecture experience in financial servicesStrong, direct experience in commodities trading or brokerage environmentsProven experience working on full stack front-office systemsTechnical architectural expertise (logical, physical and application architectures)Excellent knowledge of modern technology stacksOutstanding stakeholder engagement and management skillsThis is a 6 month initial contract with good scope to extend, working outside IR35 with a rate of £700-800/d. The role is hybrid, working in London 3x days per week.
