We are a multidisciplinary construction company that has been trading successfully for over 40 years. We focus on civil engineering but undertake a wide variety of works from civils, utilities, demolition and industrial building to refurbishments and internal fit outs.



We work primarily for the utility industry on projects throughout the UK and have secured several long-term frameworks with national clients that have worked with us for over 30 years.





About the Role:



As Contracts Manager, you will oversee planning, design and safe installation across a range of civil engineering, build work, utilities and drainage projects.



Key Responsibilities:



Your primary responsibility will be to see that all work is carried out to the required specification, time and budget. Your duties will include:




  • Reporting to directors on a weekly and monthly basis,

  • Management and coordination of direct and sub-contract resources,

  • SHEQ documentation and control,

  • Ensuring H&S is established and maintained at the highest levels across all projects,

  • Ensuring projects are well managed at all times, including quality, programme adherence, commercially controlled.





About you:




  • Experience in acting as a construction contracts manager setting up, overseeing the management of projects ranging from £10k - £3m,

  • Experience in civil engineering (in particular reinforced concrete, drainage), refurbishment and industrial buildings is desirable,

  • Ability to work both as a team and independently,

  • Experience across JCT and NEC forms of contract,

  • Experience of completing contract successfully including closing out the project including snags, O&M documentation and commercially,

  • Client focused and excellent communicator at all levels,

  • Development of supervisors,

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Excel & Word (“Project” is desirable).
