PRG are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager� to support and lead projects for a�National Piling contractor.



Position



Responsible for the preparatory work necessary prior to mobilisation and, monitoring of site performance, quality and costs.



Ensure the correct execution of the project design, whilst achieving�safety, quality, sustainability and efficiency.



To lead the engineers in achieving a high level of safety, quality and profitability on the projects.



To coordinate cost reports and report to management on the performance of projects within the month to management.



Key responsibilities



To lead engineers by supporting them on contractual, technical and safety matters.



To coordinate workload between the engineers with the Operations Director to ensure effective workload is being managed nationally.



To regularly meet with the work winning team as required to assist with the planning of projects. To inform the Operations Manager and departments of requirements in preparation for such work.



To report to the Operations Manager and management on the performance of projects�monthly.



Ensure project deliverables are fully understood, through handover meetings with the process team (estimating, design, commercial, procurement, plant and operations).



Prepare effective start-up site documentation for site team and clearly communicate deliverables to the site supervisor.�



Daily monitor the works in accordance with the design, specification.



Responsible for recording all contract variations in good time with the customer, ensuring involvement with the commercial department.



Prepare and review the financial performance of projects and where applicable revise the project forecast weekly. Be responsible for all contract purchases / costs with justification.



Attend pre-start meetings as required; addressing commercial, operational and design matters concerning the project.



Skills Required



Degree or HNC qualification in a civil engineering related subject, or a candidate studying for a related degree / HNC on a part time basis.



Previous experience in ground engineering operations.



A valid CSCS card.



The role is expected to have an amount of travel to sites will be required as work demands to start up contracts, to attend customer pre-start meetings, and site meetings�as required.
