Contracts Engineer/Manager – Newark

Approach Personnel are pleased to be working with a reputable Ground Engineering and Civils contractor to recruit a Contracts Engineer or Contracts Manager as part of their operations team, working on lucrative UK projects.

This Contracts Engineer role focuses around overseeing daily operations on site, ensuring each project is delivered to schedule, within budget and in line with health and safety standards.

Day-to-Day

As a Contracts Engineer/Manager, here’s just a few parts of what your day could look like:

-          Conducting site meetings with on-site labour and management, ensuring that all operations on site are moving safely and to schedule

-          Producing accurate site records and progress reports, as well as generating forecasts and cost reports

-          Monitoring health and safety on site, ensuring all works are being conducted within the company’s and national standards

-          Managing Labour requirements on site, liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure staffing and materials are maintained

-          Working alongside the pre-construction team to produce work-winning tenders and bids

-          Travelling to different sites all over the UK almost daily to meet site teams and inspect works

About You

-          Degree in Construction or Ground Engineering related subject, e.g. Engineering, Construction Management etc.

-          Proven experience working in Piling 

-          Full UK Clean Driving License

-          CSCS Card – desirable but not essential

-          Proven experience working as a Contracts Engineer or a similar role

Salary and Contract Details

-          Competitive Salary c.£35,000 - £55,000+ per annum depending on experience
