About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Roadworks Surfacing Contracts Manager to join our team in the East Midlands on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in ensuring that road surfacing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a background in roadworks and surfacing, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee road surfacing contracts, from planning through to final delivery, ensuring all projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain clear communication and effective project delivery.
• Monitor site operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Manage schedules and budgets, addressing any issues that may impact project timelines or costs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify work quality and progress, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare regular progress reports and project documentation to support decision-making and accountability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in roadworks, surfacing, or construction contracts management.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in roadworks.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Full UK driving license is essential.
