Role Overview:



We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our client. This pivotal role will oversee and manage a range of civil engineering projects, primarily within residential and commercial sectors, ensuring their successful delivery from start to finish. As the Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in upholding our reputation for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

  • Contracts Administration: Oversee contract preparation, negotiation, and execution to ensure compliance with legal, client, and company requirements.

  • Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and forecast expenditure, ensuring projects are delivered within financial targets.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project delivery.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and without compromising quality or safety.

  • Team Leadership: Provide direction, support, and guidance to site teams and other relevant personnel.



Key Skills and Experience:




  • Proven experience in contracts management within civil engineering, particularly on residential or commercial projects.

  • Strong knowledge of contract forms, legal standards, and health & safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders.

  • Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for construction projects.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop project teams to achieve high performance and project success.
