Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Control System Engineer to work for a Cumbrian based specialist machine manufacturing company. One of the main aspects of the Control System Engineer role is PLC programming and fault-finding on existing PLC code this is an essential requirement.
Key aspects of the Control System Engineer role include
Support the engineering team with PLC & control system fault finding
System/PLC faults are rectified and route cause identified
Responsibility for site electrical drawings and schematics
Support the engineering team in delivering Continuous Improvement projects and process improvements
Assess risks in relation to control systems e.g. PLCs and necessary contingencies for failure or upgrade.
Creation of new PLC programs and software updates when required
Successful Control System Engineer will support the maintenance team in maintaining the plant and equipment to agreed standards
COMPEX knowledge desirable, not essential, training will be arranged if needed
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics - desirable, not essential, training will be arranged if needed
