We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Staffordshire. This is a pivotal role within a leading systems integration environment, working on projects across a range of industries, including Water, Power, Energy, Food & Beverage, and Pharmaceuticals. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will manage projects from conception to completion, delivering bespoke control systems solutions that meet our clients' unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full project lifecycles, from initial requirements gathering through design, development, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Develop, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems, particularly using platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider.
- Design, implement, and optimize SCADA solutions to provide reliable and user-friendly control interfaces.
- Integrate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to ensure seamless data communication and process management.
- Travel to client sites to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including functional design specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.
- Provide post-installation support and troubleshooting to ensure long-term system performance.
Requirements:
- Proven background in a systems integration environment, with experience delivering projects in industries such as Water, Power, Energy, Food & Beverage, or Pharmaceuticals.
- Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider), SCADA system development, and MES integration.
- Ability to manage projects independently, adhering to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
