Job Title: Caf� Cook
Location: Calow, Chesterfield, S44
Pay rate: �11.72 per hour
Days: 37.5 hours per week
Start date: Available immediately
Length of contract: Temporary ongoing
GI Group are now recruiting for a Caf� Cook for our Public Sector client based in Chesterfield. The Cook will work alongside a Chef and as part of the catering team in producing approximately 500 meals per day. The meals will mainly consist of a meat and 2 vegetable option, or a vegetarian option, as well as a weekly set menu. The successful candidate will prepare and cook meals to high standards whilst maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe department, ensuring the standard of service to is pleasant, efficient and all duties are carried out in line with the department's working procedures.
Main duties of the Caf� Cook

• Preparing and cooking food as per set recipes.
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality and diet specific dishes.
• Ability to work under pressure in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment and ensuring sanitation practices in the kitchen.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with service users, visitors, staff, and Managers.
• Assisting other Chefs in the department.
• Helping with deliveries and restocking of all equipment and ingredients.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workstations.

Criteria of the Caf� Cook

• Food Hygiene level 3 or willingness to work towards (assistance can be provided by GI Group).
• Ability to cook with fresh ingredients from start to end product (set menu).
• Relevant experience of working in the catering industry and/or experience of working in a similar type of establishment.
• Ability to follow hygiene guidelines and adhere to health and safety policies in the kitchen.
