Our client is a prestigious international law firm distinguished for its expertise in advising technology, life sciences, and other growth enterprises worldwide. The firm represents companies across all stages of development, from emerging startups to multinational corporations, as well as the venture firms, private equity firms, and investment banks that support them. You will be joining a Tier 1 team that assists companies in launching, scaling, and raising capital, while also facilitating strategic exits through M&A, IPOs, or other avenues.

To be successful in this role:
You will be a UK qualified solicitor, holding or eligible for a valid Solicitors’ Practicing Certificate along with 4+ yrs PQE with a significant focus on M&A or other strategic transactions.
Other requirements for this role include:
Exceptional technical proficiency and interpersonal skills
Commercial acumen and a solutions-oriented mindset, with knowledge of market practices in the technology and venture capital sectors being advantageous
Familiarity with cross-border M&A transactions and associated legal issues is preferred but not mandatory
Job role and responsibilities:
As a Corporate Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the London corporate team, primarily focusing on M&A transactions.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Conducting due diligence and legal research to support M&A transactions
Drafting and negotiating definitive transaction agreements, including share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and related documentation
Managing all aspects of strategic transactions, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory requirements
Providing strategic advice and guidance to clients throughout the transaction process
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and regulatory specialists, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
Mentoring and training junior associates, actively contributing to the growth and development of the corporate practice
Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships, demonstrating excellent client management skills
Staying abreast of market trends and best practices in the technology and venture capital sectors, leveraging insights to deliver value-added services to clients
