Excellent opportunity for a Corporate Lawyer, with an energy sector focus, in London.Band 1 rated per Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for Energy.Very competitive salary.Interesting mix of top tier corporate work.The Team Our client's corporate energy team is highly regarded as a global adviser in a wide range of corporate matters, including public takeovers, private M&A, private equity, and ECM across the following sub-sectors - infrastructure, conventional power, renewable energy and storage, climate & ESG, oil & gas, new energy, and mining.
The team's clients is split between the UK and International markets. This include both public and private entities, ranging across retail firms, financial institutions, and media giants. The Role The role has a focus on the transactional work within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will be working closely with partners and other senior members of the team. The candidate should:establish effective relationships with individuals and groups, across the global network;uphold the firm’s values;contribute to the firm’s initiatives (e.g. corporate social responsibility and diversity and inclusion activities);mentor and support juniors;raise profile by being involved with external bodies and supporting and attending marketing/industry events;and assist with internal training and preparation of legal precedents.Key Requirements Our client is looking for a highly motivated associate with 2 - 6 PQE to join their London team. In addition, you will have:strong transactional experience;outstanding academic credentials;good understanding of law firm profitability and key drivers for financial efficiency;ability to help manage costs and budgets; andexcellent client relationship skills.Additional responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing documentation, as well as managing project delivery appropriately.
