Cost Consultant

As a Cost Consultant/Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in analyzing, estimating, and managing costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget while upholding the highest quality standards. Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals, you will assess project requirements, develop precise cost estimates, and provide detailed reports to the Operations Director.

Location - Newport

Salary - £40,000 per annum

Principal Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track project budgets and expenses
• Prepare detailed cost reports
• Collaborate with Project Mangers to ensure budget compliance
• Support Project Managers in financial decision-making
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
• Analyse variances between actual and budgeted costs
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids
• Co-ordinate with finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting

You will have experience in the following:

• Able to provide take offs from drawings for SORs
• Preparing Bill of quants
• Estimating variation costing
• Assisting in the Preparation of cost plans, Estimates and cash flow projections
• Assisting in the competition of final accounts
