SF Recruitment are working with a manufacturing business in Lutterworth who are seeking a Cost Controller to join their business on a full time, permanent basis. The ideal Cost Controller will be part/newly qualified or qualified by experience & have experience in costings & Business partnering. The primary focus of the Cost Controller is to work closely with the Key Account Managers & drive improvement via margin & cost controlling. Experience within a manufacturing/Engineering environment is essential.

- Monitoring and executing of ad-hoc and quarterly mass standards costs updates to ensure accurate bill of materials and labour overhead cost rollup for transactions processing and decision making.
- Monthly cost centre cost variance analysis and work with cost centre costs owner to understand costs behaviours and to improve company's performance through various cost control measures.
- Monthly inventory reporting and analysis, reconciliation between inventory accounts in the General Ledger and the inventory details reports.
- Monitoring of aging inventories and ensure adequate provision coverage.
- Clearly understand the contractual obligations relating to material exposure and periodic review of materials exposure together with Key Account Managers to ensure material are taken over by customers according to the agreed contractual terms.
- Produce and analyse certain parts of the monthly reports and all other reports required from the company management and the corporate management from time to time.
- Meets the require deadlines and produce meaningful and user-friendly reports problem-solving effectively support management decision making.
- Active involvement in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process according to corporate guidelines and timelines.
- Coordinate month end accruals to accounting.
- Any other tasks to be assigned by the section leads.

Job requirements
- Preferably diploma in accounting, finance or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and budgeting procedure
- Ability to communicate effectively with support groups & other departments
