Counterbalance Forklift Truck Drivers

Are you an experienced Forklift Driver? We are working with a reputable company based in Lichfield who are expanding and seeking an experienced Counterbalance FLT Drivers. The company are a busy distribution hub dealing with wooden pallets.

The pay rate for this will be from £13.00 per hour. This role is based fully on-site. The company are asking for flexibility with working hours - the working day will be 8.5 hours a day, start times can be 6pm / 7pm / 8pm or 8.30 pm, depending on your availability.

Main tasks and duties:

• Responsible for operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within the Warehouse.
• Maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of the warehousing duties, functions and requirements.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of legislation and regulation affecting warehouse
• Maintaining high levels of Health & Safety at all times, reporting any incidents to the appropriate manager.
• Maintaining high levels of housekeeping throughout the site at all times.
• Making 140 movements a night.

Skills, qualifications and competencies:

• Previous experience in similar role operating a forklift or other MHE equipment is essential
• FLT licence is essential
• Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
• Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns
• Should have good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems
• Promote good practice
• Report any Safety concerns
• Follow all safe working procedures and site rules
• Wear the correct PPE at all times
• Abide by the clean as you go policy
• Immediate start subject to site tour and assessment
• Ideal candidate will have pallet network experience and available for FLT assessment (approx 1 hour)

This role is available on Temporary to Permanent basis after 12 weeks.
