We are currently seeking a skilled Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst to join our client in Switzerland (Job Ref: CCRAGS24, Location: Geneva). This onsite and permanent role within the banking sector is focused on conducting meticulous financial analysis of corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign entities to assess their creditworthiness. As a Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in formulating informed credit views on a variety of financial instruments, monitoring credit portfolios, and providing essential support to trading desks in evaluating counterparty risk.



Responsibilities:




  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial statements for corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign entities.

  • Formulate credit views on bilateral and syndicated loans, long-term bond holdings, and derivatives.

  • Evaluate counterparty risk for flow business, including OTC derivatives, repos, and securities lending.

  • Contribute to new credit-related projects and initiatives within the bank.

  • Assist in documenting and establishing credit limits for OTC derivatives, repos, and securities lending.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory and reporting requirements.

  • Assess and negotiate credit terms in legal documentation such as bilateral and syndicated loans, underwriting agreements, and master agreements for OTC derivatives.

  • Monitor market news and research to detect early warning indicators within credit portfolios.

  • Collaborate with the Risk Office on credit limit monitoring, country risk assessments, and management of large exposures.

  • Participate in the review and enhancement of credit policies and procedures.



Qualifications:




  • Hold a university degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance, or a related field

  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in corporate credit risk analysis; experience in financial institution credit risk is advantageous.

  • Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

  • Proficient in analyzing credit and banking products such as bilateral and syndicated loans, bonds, OTC derivatives, repos, and securities lending.

  • Familiarity with legal documentation including facility agreements, ISDA/CSA, GMRA, and GMSLA.

  • Knowledge of VBA or coding languages is beneficial.

  • Strong team player with flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

  • Independent and flexible work style with strong organizational skills, work ethics, and accountability.
