Our team is composed of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our clients and as our business continues to grow, we are seeking an exceptional Country Manager Sweden to both join and lead our European expansion in Sweden. As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the growth of our BESS and Solar development operations in Sweden. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a talented team, strategic initiatives to expand our market presence, strengthen partnerships, and drive sustainable business growth across Sweden. This leadership role requires a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset, proven track record in the renewables industry, exceptional business acumen, in-depth market knowledge and the ability to navigate a complex regulatory landscape. The role will be Mon – Thurs office based at our location in Kings Cross, London, and from time to time you will be required to be travel to and from Sweden for team meetings, client meetings and project specific meetings.Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the Swedish market, aligning the UK and wider European objectives.Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to drive sustainable growth.Recruit, lead, motivate and foster both a collaborative and forward-thinking team and culture that aligns with leadership principals, whether in the UK or Sweden.Operational Excellence:Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance with regulations, and high standards of performance. Implement best practices in project management, resource allocation, and budget control.Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, District Network Operators, industry partners, and local communities.Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and with relevant regulatory bodies.Market Expansion:Lead market research efforts to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks across the Swedish renewables market.Develop and implement market entry strategies for new regions within Sweden.Financial Management:Work closely with both the Board to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and ensure financial sustainability.Monitor and report on key financial performance metrics.​The Candidate:Fluent in both Swedish and English is mandatory.Proven track record in both senior management and leadership within relevant sectors of sustainability, renewable energy, energy engineering and/or infrastructure development (at least 5-10 years’+ experience);Coherent understanding and experience of development across key renewable technologies such as Battery Energy Storage Systems and Solar.Exceptional and demonstrable experience in leading, building and managing high performing teams with an entrepreneurial vision and leadership style.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.Commercially astute;Strong energy market awareness;Ability to understand the key commercial aspects of energy projects as well as be able to articulate key commercial, technical and legal risks for projects and their potential impact on investor returnsExcellent contacts across the Swedish renewable energy landscape, leading to a strong origination baseProactive and highly motivated; a self-starter who can take ownership of key tasks and always looks for better and more efficient ways to do things
