Country Managing Director

Job Purpose:
The Country Managing Director (MD) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, strategy, and performance of the country. This role ensures the achievement of business goals and objectives through effective leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision and long-term goals at country level in alignment with Group strategy.
Oversee the development and execution of business plans to achieve corporate objectives.
Implement and monitor objectives and key results (OKRs)
Analyze local market trends, competition, and business opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
2. Leadership and Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the management team and staff to build a high-performing organization.
Lead and manage country management team to deliver results, i.e. delivering results through the team – not as a individual contributor.
Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with corporate values.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage in a structured and systematic way and provide structure and direction to the team.
3. Operational Management
Ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations across all departments.
Development and control of sales and laundry services according to the business. concepts and model.
Performance management. Setting local goals and targets to track operational success.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Management during a crisis.
4. Financial Management
Develop and manage the company’s budget and financial plans.
Profitable growth - oversee financial performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements and the code of conduct.
5. Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other public forums, as appropriate.
Ensure transparent and effective communication with Regional and Group management and other stakeholders.

Growth and Profitability of the country/subsidiary
Employee engagement + eNPS
Customer satisfaction & retention
Operational efficiency and productivity metrics.
Stakeholder satisfaction and relationship strength.
Qualifications:
Educated to Masters Degree level.
Strong track record of experience and success in senior leadership and management roles.
Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
Excellent financial management and analytical capabilities.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and delivering results through teams.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with frequent travel to company sites, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.
May require extended hours to meet business demands and deadlines.
