We have an exciting opportunity for a Courier Pay Negotiation Manager to join us working from our Eurocentral Depot with some flexible home working. Job Purpose:
The Courier Pay Negotiation Manager will be responsible for negotiating rates centrally for our courier model to be the gate keeper of cost control by maintaining a robust controlled process to avoid rate creep and also achieve the savings required in this area of our business.
The role holder will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure fair and competitive compensation that aligns with industry competition and legal requirements.
They will manage the centralised strategy to significantly increase savings, proactively manage rate uplifts and ensure cost controls are balances, ensuring we are compliant with legal obligations and establish continuous rate negotiations, leading to better financial management and consistency
• Conduct market research to determine competitive rates of pay.
• Develop and implement salary negotiation strategies condusive to an all year round approach
• Lead and manage a team of recruitment and negotiation agents to Identify couriers for potential negotiation opportunities and follow the process through to completion.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation by issuing appropriate communications and implement new rates accurately.
• Ensure we meet our legal responsibility by giving self employed couriers the right to negotiate their service terms.
• Collaborate with local delivery management teams to identify risks and solutions on those entering negotiation processes.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to rate of pay and negotiation processes
To be successful you will require:
• Proven experience in pay/salary negotiation or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of compensation and benefits structures.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse market data and trends.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
