About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Cover Manager to join our secondary school in Preston, starting from February half term 2025. The role involves managing and supervising cover requirements across the school day, with an early start to ensure smooth daily operations and cover for both short-term and long-term staff absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing cover arrangements and ensuring seamless supervision of lessons in the absence of teaching staff.
Managing morning operations, ensuring all cover is allocated efficiently.
Liaising with staff to coordinate cover needs and ensure minimal disruption to the school day.
Who We're Looking For:
An experienced Cover Manager, ideally with a background in secondary education.
Alternatively, an experienced Cover Supervisor with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, who is ready to take on management responsibilities.
A fast learner with strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage last-minute changes effectively.
