Randstad Education is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join a school in Brentwood! In this important role, you'll ensure that learning continues smoothly when teachers are absent, creating a positive and productive classroom environment for students.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK - this is essential
• Must provide 2 proven professional references - this is essential
• Possess or willing to obtain a DBS Certificate on the update service
• Previous experience in a classroom, either as a cover supervisor or as a teaching assistant!
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skill, with the ability to engage and motivate students
• A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced educational environment

Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing the classroom in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Ensuring all students are on task and completing the prepared activities.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure children remain on task with their learning activities.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and engagement.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Provide feedback to teachers about the progress and behaviour of Children during their lessons.
• Supporting students who may require additional support
