Cover Supervisor

Accelerate Teaching is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in Bradford. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual ready to make a positive impact on students' learning journeys, starting September 2024.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education during teachers' absences. Your primary responsibility will be to manage classrooms, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with the pre-set work. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a school setting, perfect for those considering a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
• Ensure students remain focused and adhere to school policies
• Distribute and collect pre-set work and resources
• Support students with their learning where possible
• Provide feedback to the regular teacher about the lessons covered
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
