Salary: £95-£120 per day

GSL Education’s branch based in South Yorkshire are currently seeking to employ a number of Cover Supervisor to work across client schools based in Rotherham, starting ASAP.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain focused on their tasks.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and supportive environment.
• Support students with their learning and provide assistance where needed.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues that arise.
• Uphold school policies and procedures at all times.

As a Cover Supervisor, essential requirements include the following:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working with young people.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
• A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Availability to work part-time or full-time hours as needed.
• Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one processed immediately.
