Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain focused on their work.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and support students in completing their tasks.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues that arise.
• Support the school’s ethos and policies, contributing to a safe and respectful learning environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, essential requirements include the following:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work on short notice.
• A genuine interest in working with students and supporting their education
• Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one processed immediately.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school day. Whether you’re working part-time or full-time, you will be a key member of the school team, helping to make a positive impact on students' education.
