Role Details
Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Portsmouth
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term
Working Days: Full-time or part-time considered
Pay Rate: Competitive (based on experience)
Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Delivering lesson plans and engaging students in meaningful learning activities
Supporting students in their learning across various subjects
Who We're Looking For
Recent graduates or experienced cover supervisors
Individuals with experience working in a UK school setting
Confident classroom managers who can engage students and maintain a positive learning environment
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (or a willingness to undertake this)
Essential Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two recent references from child-related roles covering the last two years
