Salary: £100 - £130 per day dependent on Payroll choice at interview

Long term role - Full time

A perfect opportunity for an outstanding Cover Supervisor has come available to join our fabulous alternative provision that supports students aged between 11 and 16 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our school offers bespoke learning opportunities for all their students that focuses on the students interests and needs whilst ensuring the students receive a balance curriculum that will support them in their future.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring high quality pre-planned lessons are delivered across the school. You will have to be adaptable and versatile within your role working within a variety of different age groups and abilities. As a cover supervisor you will work closely with all staff across the school so being friendly and approachable is a must.

The successful Cover Supervisor will teach small classes of approximately 5 students at a time and can support 37 students at one time. Due to the nature of the students, we support, it is vital that the successful Cover Supervisor is confident following the school behaviour policy and can model and promote the school's values and ethos.

The school itself is a lovely purpose-built specialist based in Crewe which has excellent transport links via public transport. The working hours would be 8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday, term time only. The school prides itself on creating a learning environment that is nurturing, supportive and adaptable to students needs. The school has a lovely inside and outside provision that provides the students can manage and self-regulate their own feelings. Outside the school is currently developing their forest school area where students can have hands on learning opportunities and responsibility for caring and developing the area into something they can be proud of.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the students Teacher to deliver high-quality bespoke learning opportunities.

- Support the students to become re-engaged with their learning.

- Model and promote high behaviour expectations.

- Communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them.

- Work closely with the students Tutor to Prepare the students for life beyond school.

Key Requirements:

- An understanding of working with disengaged students.

- Strong communication skills.

- Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students.

- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
