The Role – Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in learning during teacher absences. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects while ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classrooms, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.
• Deliver pre-set lesson materials across a range of subjects.
• Support student progress, responding to questions and encouraging participation.
• Maintain discipline, following the school’s behaviour policies.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leaders.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Individuals with previous experience working with young people (e.g., teaching assistants, sports coaches, tutors, or youth workers).
• Confident and passionate about education, with the ability to engage students.
• Strong classroom management skills and a professional approach.
• Graduates considering a career in teaching or those seeking experience before completing a PGCE.
• Adaptable and reliable, able to work across different subjects and year groups.
