About the Role

Are you looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching? Or do you have experience working with secondary-aged students and want a flexible role in education? Simply Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across West Kent.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and make a real impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across various subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning and encourage participation.
• Liaise with teaching staff and report on student progress.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (e.g., tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or classroom support).
• Confidence in managing a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for education and supporting young people.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• All applicants will be subject to our safeguarding and vetting checks.
