Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Traffic Marshall to join our team. You will be responsible for safe and efficient movement of traffic, on and off the construction site.

The role of a Slinger Banksman is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and equipment on construction sites. As a Banksman, you will be responsible for directing the operation of cranes and other machinery, ensuring that all lifting operations are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams on-site.

Duties

• Direct the movement of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.


• Communicate effectively with crane operators and ground personnel to coordinate lifting operations.


• Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.


• Ensure that all lifting equipment is properly maintained and inspected before use.


• Assist in the training of new staff members regarding safe practices and operational procedures.


• Maintain clear communication with site management regarding any issues or concerns related to operations.

Skills

• Proficiency in English, allowing for clear communication with team members and management.


• Experience in building strong working relationships with colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment.


• Strong communication skills, enabling effective direction during lifting operations and ensuring safety compliance.

This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, proactive, and possess a keen eye for detail while working in a dynamic environment.
