Crane Installation/Commissioning Engineer & Crane Service Engineer Co Down Our client, a leading manufacturer of large cranes in Ireland, is looking for an Installation and Commissioning Engineer and also a Field Service Engineer, to join their respective teams at their state-of-the-art facility in County Down. Crane Commissioning and Installation Engineer (ref: B32-T3389) Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the C&I Engineer will travel all over Ireland in a 2-man team, installing and commissioning new crane equipment from small up to the size of Goliath (at Harland & Wolf). H&S is paramount in this role, due to the nature of large industrial equipment. The Ideal candidate will possess: Good mechanical experience from a maintenance-manufacturing environment. Electrical conduits and steel erection experience would suit a steel fabricator. Qualified to work with large plant and machinery. Experience with slinging and banking essential. Considerable travel involved, so be willing to work overtime. Salary DOE - overtime paid at x1.5. Benefits for both roles: 30 holidays per year no fixed shutdowns. Company van, mobile and iPad business use only. Travel Expenses paid (from home where necessary, validated online) Monday to Friday role Overtime paid at 1.5 hours (over 40 hours a week). The potential to earn £50k+ is very realistic as it is usual to work well over 10 hours a week due to travel. Expenses paid where overnight stay is required. Company pension, life insurance scheme. Crane Service Engineer (ref: B32-T3388) Reporting to the Service Manager, this role within the Crane Division will involve carrying out responses to breakdowns, trouble shooting and repairs and would suit a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias. This role also expands to LEEA inspections and insurance inspections. Both mechanical and electrical experience would be required to fulfil tasks such as rope and bearing changes through to replacing contactors or load cells. Working at heights and the use of MEWPS would be essential. This role will suit someone who enjoys working a lot of overtime. The ideal candidate will possess: Time-served apprenticeship required in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a 3rd level qualification. Large crane experience is preferable, but not essential Good experience with heavy industrial plant and machinery. Electrical H&S Happy working at heights Use of MEWPS is preferable Considerable travel is involved in this role, as our client covers the whole of Ireland.Substantial training available after probation period.
