Crane Service & Installation Engineer

Crane Service & Installation Engineer Heyn Engineering are a leading supplier of large and small cranes across Ireland and UK. We are currently looking to recruit Crane Service/Installation Engineers. Role description Reporting to the Service and Installation Manager the role within the Engineering division will include carrying out responses to customer breakdowns, trouble shooting, crane repairs and assisting with the installing and commissioning of new crane equipment. The role also includes carrying out both LEEA and Insurance inspections. Other duties within the role include rope and bearing changes through to replacing contactors or load cells. Skills required Time-served apprenticeship This role would suit a multi-skilled engineer from a maintenance- manufacturing environment with either an electrical or and mechanical bias. Experience with heavy duty industrial plant and machinery Qualified to work with large plant and machinery Experience with slinging and banksman Full clean driving licence The ability to work at heights Strict adherence to H&S requirements MEWPS licence is preferred but not essential as training will be provided Willingness to travel throughout Ireland Overtime will be a requirement of the role due to the nature of our business Requirement to work as part of a call-out rota Strict adherence to H&S requirements Company Benefits Salary DOE has the potential with overtime to exceed £50k 25 days holiday plus 8 stats 37 hour week Monday Thursday 8.00-4.30 and Friday 8.00 1.00 Overtime after 4.30 daily and Saturday paid at 1.5x basic, Sunday and bank holidays x2 basic (also DIL for bank holiday worked) Weekly callout allowance Callout payment + min of 4 hours overtime x 1.5 basic Away allowance paid Company van and mobile phone Hotel accommodation to include B&B for all away overnight work Quarterly documentation bonus with potential to earn £600 Annual performance bonus Annual holiday bonus Company pension scheme with enhanced employer contributions After 6-months successful probationary period Non-contributory Private Medical Insurance Life assurance x2 basic annual salary Bike 2 Work scheme Contributory Health cash plan scheme We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community
