We're a close-knit team of 3 passionate individuals (two founders and a talented, senior full stack developer) dedicated to creating something extraordinary.If you're excited about creating next-generation mobile experiences and want to be part of a small team that's redefining interactive storytelling through innovative front-end development, we want to hear from you!The RoleWe're seeking a passionate and talented Creative Technologist specializing in React Native (with Expo) to join our small but mighty team on a contract basis (with opportunity to go perm).In this role, you'll be instrumental in crafting cutting-edge mobile experiences that challenge the limits of what's possible with React Native, focusing on front-end development and innovative UI/UX implementation.Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement highly interactive and visually stunning user interfaces- Create smooth, performant animations that enhance the user experience- Work directly with founders to bring innovative ideas to life- Optimize app performance to ensure a seamless experience across various devices- Stay updated with the latest trends in mobile front-end development and React Native- Take ownership of significant parts of the front-end development processRequired Skills and Experience- Advanced proficiency in React Native, JavaScript & Expo- Expert-level experience with React Native animation libraries and techniques, including:
- Reanimated /Moti for complex, gesture-driven animations
- React Native Gesture Handler for advanced touch handling
- React Native Skia for high-performance 2D graphics- Proficiency in creating custom animated components and transitions- Experience with Expo, including knowledge of its limitations and workarounds- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and ability to implement pixel-perfect designs- Advanced state management skills (e.g., Redux, MobX, Recoil)- Experience with native module integration for iOS- Proficiency in performance optimization techniques for React Native apps, including:
- Memory management and leak prevention
- Render optimization and memoization
