Credit Control Team Lead
Tamworth - overseeing a team of 6-8 Credit Controllers

Your new role
Proactively manage the key ledgers to ensure accurate and timely collection of payments, improving company cashflow and minimising risk. Leading a team of 6-8 Credit Controller, developing individuals and improving team performance. This role manages the process cradle to grave from on-boarding customers, putting accounts on and off stop, through to collection and allocation. The role will also deputise for the Credit Manager where required.
Key Duties:
Delivering excellent customer service at all times, adhering with company collection/credit policies
Developing the team against targets and KPIs, looking into areas of development in order to achieve set goals
Customer account management, resolving queries in a timely and effective manner
Ensure that invoices, statements and receipts are processed promptly, including transitioning more customers to electronic documentation
Using Payment Portals and EDIs on specific client accounts
Review customer Credit limits, resolving accounts on stop
Manage legal, escalation process through to debt recovery
Review daily, weekly and monthly performances across the team
Support the Credit Manager where required.
What you'll need:
Strong business partnering skills, ability to build relationships and influence internal stakeholders
Good system skills, SAP desirable not essential
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
CICM qualified is desirable but not essential
5+ years experience in a fast paced B2B credit department

Salary: up to £39,700 depending on experience
