NextGen Operations Ltd is an acquisitions business, focused on acquiring businesses within the recruitment sector and requires a Credit Controller/ Accountant to assist the Financial Controller to grow and develop the group to its full potential.

Purpose of the Role:
The Credit Controller/ Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, professionally enabling client remittances, reconciling accounts and supporting day to day financial tasks across multiple sites for NextGen Operations Ltd.
Objectives:
* Assist the Financial Controller with day to day financial and administrative tasks.
* Maintain credit control for multiple sites.
* Assist with month end accounting and accounts payable.
* Prepare and analyse financial records.
* Create accurate and clear financial data.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with key clients and external contacts.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with work colleagues, providing financial assistance as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible to the Financial Controller.
* Assist in allocating receipts, reconciling accounts and maintaining financial records..
* Prepare and process invoices, bills and other financial documents.
* Reconcile accounts receivable statements.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
* Support with day-to-day financial tasks.
* Assist in large payroll runs.
* Assist in audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or qualified by experience in credit control, accounting and/or finance.
* Commercially focused and with a genuine interest in the workings of a business.
* Experience in Credit Control, Double Entry and Trial Balance.
* Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
* Experience of using Sage Accounts or other accounts packages desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters/pivots/lookups) and other accounting software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Formidable energy and drive with ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
* Experience within the recruitment sector preferable but not essential.
