£25,000 - £28,000 per annum

Full-time, Office-based

25-30 hours per week

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant to join our finance department and support our sales team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant who will play a crucial role in managing our accounts receivable and assisting with various finance-related tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with both the finance department and the sales team to ensure efficient financial operations and maintain healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
  • Perform credit checks and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Dealing with Purchase Ledger
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Support the finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, payment processing, and ledger maintenance
  • Liaise with the sales team to provide financial insights and support for customer accounts
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to credit control and accounting activities
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Proven experience in credit control and accounts
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
