We are looking for a Customer Service and Despatch agent to join an engineering company in the Polegate area where you will be providing first line support to customers and scheduling field engineers in this busy and varied customer service role.



Job duties of the Customer Service and Despatch Agent are to:




  • Provide excellent Customer Service at all times over the phone and via email

  • Data input information onto the service management system

  • Raise customer quotes as appropriate and obtain purchase orders from customers

  • Check progression of jobs to ensure service level agreements are met

  • Provide phone support to engineers in the field

  • Log information in to external customers portals

  • Monitor and manage all email inboxes

  • Scheduling and allocate engineer's work in the most efficient way

  • Make travel arrangements and hotel accommodation booking for field workers

  • Raise job numbers for service installs and future planned work

  • Ensure spreadsheets are kept up to date



Skills and experience required for the Customer Service role are:




  • Previous experience in an office based role

  • Good customer service experience

  • High level of computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook and Excel

This is a busy and varied position.
