Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Castle Point Borough Council to recruit a Sales and Customer Services Officer.

The Opportunity

To operate front of house reception for our busy leisure facilities at both Waterside Farm and Runnymede leisure centre. This is a customer facing role that requires excellent customer service in a friendly manner and good interpersonal skills.

To maximise income generation and usage of Council facilities through the effective and efficient marketing, promotion, lead generation and booking of Council facilities and the promotion of sales, sales of goods and memberships.

Accountabilities

  • To promote sales and lead generation for membership and swimming lesson sales. As well as secondary sales.
  • To accept payments, bookings, admissions policy as appropriate using the gladstone 360 leisure system. To operate and move customers on gladstone go learn.
  • Responsible for float cash and card receipts reconciliation as per end of shift procedures.
  • Answering all queries, including leisure inbox phone calls and face to face customers.
  • To liaise with other members of the team for setup of booking activities and smooth running of the centres.
  • Serving refreshments at reception and ensuing reception and refreshment areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • To comply with food safety regulations and adhere to prosses for the safe handling of food and drink, including cleaning of coffee and smoothie machine.
  • To abide by the emergency evacuation procedures as per training and policies.
  • To assist in the marketing and promotion of our leisure services.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Customer Service experience skills
  • Experience of cash handling and financial procedures
  • Good IT Skills

Working Pattern

The roles follows a 2 week rota basis covering mornings, lates and weekends.
