About the Role

We are seeking an experienced�Customs Clerk�to join our industry leading client in Coventry. This role involves handling�Multimodal Customs Clearance�from�start to finish,�covering�Air, Sea, and Road freight. The ideal candidate will ensure all shipments comply with UK and international customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process import and export customs declarations for Air, Sea, and Road freight.


• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and customs requirements.


• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies.


• Manage customs documentation and duty/VAT calculations.


• Stay up to date with CDS, CHIEF, and industry regulations.


• Provide customer updates and resolve customs-related queries.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a Customs Clerk in freight forwarding or logistics.


• Strong knowledge of multimodal freight (air, sea, and road).


• Proficiency with customs systems, in particular�E-Customs�and�Cargowise


• Understanding of commodity codes, duties, VAT, and trade agreements.


• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
