As the Customs Compliance Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for customs authorities and regulatory bodies, ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently and in full compliance with UK and international trade regulations. Key Responsibilities:
* Trade Compliance: Ensure compliance with all customs regulations, trade rules, and free trade agreements for imports and exports.
* Customs & Regulatory Liaison: Act as the main contact for HMRC, customs brokers, and other regulatory authorities.
* Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to manage daily customs-related challenges.
* Tariff Classification & Systems Management: Accurately classify products using HS codes, maintain data in the ERP system, and manage customs documentation.
* Market Insights & Strategy: Stay updated on declaration of origin requirements, market access regulations, and global trade developments.
* Internal Audits & Risk Management: Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards and identify areas for improvement.
