We are looking for a person to join our team who has experience in freight forwarding and a good knowledge of customs. In this role you will be responsible for arranging freight (Air, Road & Sea) shipments from beginning to end along with organising customs documentations and knowing up to date policies and procedures. These processes need to be handled with great customer service and accuracy. To be considered for the role, you must have previous freight forwarding and customs experience and a good understanding of the necessary practices and documents.
What you will be doing:
Arrange, book and monitor shipments on land, air and sea with knowledge of all processes and documents involved.
Liaising with all departments and build working relationships with clients, shipping agents, airlines, customs etc
Track the journey of goods and provide feedback to the client of timings, locations, customs documentation etc.
Processing and raising invoices and understand customs papers and policies.
Skills and experience
Minimum 5 years previous freight forwarding/ customs experience within a similar role
Working experience of dealing with Customs �
Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Your hours of work would be 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
