Leveraging your extensive customs knowledge, you ll contribute to compliance processes and safeguard Lidl from compliance risk. As a specialist in customs classification of goods and compliance, you ll also manage a team of experts. Your input as a team player and customs professional will directly impact our operations, stores, and millions of customers. What youll do Managing a team of specialist s day to day including delegation and workload management Training and coaching members of the customs classification and audit team Overseeing the process of customs classification and audit team to ensure goods are imported and processed correctly according to trade regulations. Advising on customs classification procedures and post-clearance audits outcomes Building import data reports and dashboards Checking, reviewing, and analysing customs classification and audit data to identify trends, areas of concern and improvement opportunities. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advising on customs classification and audit related issues What youll need Strong knowledge and experience in the field of customs classification (e.g., HS codes, GIRs, import controls) Detailed knowledge and experience working with customs import data, and post-clearance audits. Level 4 Diploma in International Trade, or other applicable customs and trade certifications and diploma, preferred. Strong knowledge and experience of the UKEU customs legislation and import process and requirements. Excise knowledge desirable for the role Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to manage and develop a team Analytical mind-set with the ability to analyse large data sets and build dashboards Advanced user of Microsoft Excel Excellent organisational skills with the ability to use their own initiative Highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail Ability to accommodate last minute requests with ease and efficiency.
