We thrive on creating optimal solutions for complex and ever-changing challenges, and we’re currently seeking a Customs Manager to join us!The primary purpose of this exciting new role is to ensure the high quality and compliance of Lidl’s customs activity. Leveraging your extensive customs knowledge, you’ll contribute to compliance processes and safeguard Lidl from compliance risk. As a specialist in customs classification of goods and compliance, you’ll also manage a team of experts. Your input as a team player and customs professional will directly impact our operations, stores, and millions of customers. In Customs, no two days are the same, as a Customs Manager, you will constantly be bringing clarity to new and interesting regulatory challenges. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advising on customs classification and audit related issuesWhat you'll needStrong knowledge and experience in the field of customs classification (e.g., HS codes, GIRs, import controls)Detailed knowledge and experience working with customs import data, and post-clearance audits. Level 4+ Diploma in International Trade, or other applicable customs and trade certifications and diploma, preferred.Strong knowledge and experience of the UK/EU customs legislation and import process and requirements.
