Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cybersecurity Architect to join our dynamic team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cybersecurity frameworks and strategies that protect the organization’s digital assets and information systems from emerging threats. You will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, collaborate with various departments, and ensure that the company’s security posture aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture Design
Develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture, including security frameworks, standards, and models.
Design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications.
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools.
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, including architects, analysts, and engineers.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Risk Management and Compliance
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001).
Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
Incident Response and Recovery
Oversee the development and execution of incident response plans.
Lead efforts in the event of a security breach, coordinating recovery and forensic analysis.
Develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with IT, legal, and business teams to integrate security into all aspects of the organization.
Provide expert advice to senior management on security-related matters.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Continuously improve the security architecture based on emerging threats and business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA) are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
Proven experience in leading and managing cybersecurity teams.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations.
Skills
Deep knowledge of security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).
Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
