Damp and Mould Surveyor
Location: Bath
Contract: Temporary (4 months)
Rate: £35 per hour
Our client, a well-established Housing Association in Bath is dedicated to providing safe, secure, and well-maintained homes for their tenants. They take pride in addressing property issues proactively and are committed to improving living conditions across their housing stock.
The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Damp and Mould Surveyor to join their team on a 4-month contract. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and providing solutions for damp and mould issues within their properties, ensuring the well-being of their tenants and compliance with housing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough surveys of properties to identify the causes of damp and mould.
  • Assess the severity of issues and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
  • Work closely with tenants, offering advice and guidance to manage damp and mould effectively.
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure remedial works are scheduled and completed efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
About You:
We are looking for a professional with:
  • Proven experience in damp and mould surveying, ideally in a housing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction and moisture-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with tenants.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIH, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
