Job Title: Fire Damper Surveyor / Inspector

We are recruiting for Fire Damper Inspection Engineers to join a team at a national Passive Fire Protection contractor on a newly awarded long term contract.
My client operates a national team of engineers to inspect and test fire dampers in buildings of all types, predominantly in the hospitality and healthcare sectors.
The position will require working as part of a small team that travels to various sites to inspect and report on the condition of the property's fire dampers. The equipment to be tested forms a vital piece of the building's fire strategy and must be inspected annually.

Duties:
- Responsible for and involved in the delivery of scheduled inspections and 'one off' project inspections
- Assessing and understanding building maintenance records including compartmentation drawings, O&Ms, FRAs
- Supporting and overseeing fire damper condition inspections
- Submit building checklist on completion of project per building.
- Attending operational Pre-starts and other meetings as required
- Supporting the operations teams in understanding remedial requirements and building complexities
- Setting the standards of the Checkmate experience with inspection being the first part of the process
- Building positive relationships with our Clients on site
- Read and understand technical guides and drawings
- Helping our Clients with their statutory obligations
- Building your technical knowledge to be a subject matter expert
Qualifications:
- NAADUK Fire & Smoke Damper Training (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 2/3 (or higher) in Fire Dampers/Ventilation
- Full UK Driving Licence
- ASFP Level 3 or equivalent Passive Fire Qualification
- CSCS card Skilled Worker
