We believe it is not a necessity to already have experience in professional services and believe that the more diverse industry experience you bring to the team, the better.Your role as a Data Analyst / Technical Business Analyst (DA / TBA) is to be the “voice of the business” ensuring that our technology teams deliver solutions that meet our business and technical needs. You will play a crucial part in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the business.You’ll do this by proactively understanding our business, our approach to data, eliciting requirements, and continually looking for ways to improve the user experience and technical quality. In addition, your role will support the Head of Business Analysis to evolve the practice, including being a role model and leader for other members on the team.Our Analysts are business and user experienced focused, with excellent relationship management skills and a creative problem-solving approach.Specific responsibilities include:Working with Programme and Project Managers to deliver activities in a timely fashion, ensuring optimal quality and a focus on user experience.Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.Collaborating cross-geography and cross-culture to develop relationships with practitioners to ensure diverse contribution to solutions.Desire to develop individually in a lead role and support us to drive continuous improvement to ways of working within the team.Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.Develop and maintain data pipelines to automate data processing and reporting.Design and conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.Build dashboards and visualisations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques.Connect to your skills and professional experience Essentials:An experienced DA, or equivalent experience in a role centred around process transformation or improving user experience. Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar technically focused role.Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (or similar spreadsheet software).Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Experience of collaborating and managing relationships with business stakeholders, at all levels, with the ability to challenge where required.Experience in managing and/or mentoring and developing other team members.Ability to quickly understand high level business processes and problems and present solutions and options. Being a team player with an ability to work collaboratively and positively with others in an open, friendly, flexible and facilitating manner.Ability to define scope and distil lots of information into high level understandable concepts and business language.Experience of process mapping, requirements elicitation techniques & Business Case writing.Ability to navigate through and manage change in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in a complex partnership model, with an ability to decide which style of analysis and project delivery is appropriate.Desirable skills:If you have skills or experience or qualifications in any of the following areas, it’s advantageous but not critical:Lean six sigma certificationDesigning user experiences and design thinkingBPMN/Excel/Power BIConnect to your business - Enabling FunctionsCollaboration is central to everything we do at Deloitte.
