Data Architect - Defence

Role: Data Architect Location: Remote Salary: £85,000 + flexible working, 27 days holiday, pension contributions, annual training budget just for you, profit share scheme & more! Need to be eligible for SC Clearance iO Associates are working with a successful and growing Defence company who are looking for a Data Architect to join them on a permanent basis They are an international defence, aerospace and security company operating in many different countries, delivering engineering, support and critical systems to defence and civil markets. They design and manufacture a range of defence and civil specialist equipment, from naval ship and weapons handling systems to liquid gas handling systems. As the Data Architect, you will be involved in the design and implementation of the enterprise data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future business needs. You will be the voice for the Data department, ensuring that all initiatives explicitly consider data as part of their approach, and that all elements of the data lifecycle are adequately provisioned. You will also collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the enterprise data strategy is implemented and adding value to the business They are looking for you to have experience in: Demonstrable knowledge and experience of contributing to technical solutions for large scale complex projects A comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and the supporting technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, other analytics products Experience of architecting data solution across hybrid (cloud, on premise) data platforms Experience implementing data solutions Experience of mapping key Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications A strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output Possess in-depth knowledge of and able to consult on various technologies Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud based and on premise solutions Benefits include: Regular socials (all travel, hotels, food covered) Training and development plan for all employees Annual salary reviews - inflationary increase 5 weeks annual leave with option to buy more The career progression and learning opportunities on offer are some of the best in the market, with the opportunity to participate in training, courses, certifications and more.
