Job title: Data Centre Shift Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Static Site located in East London
Terms: (Continental Shift Pattern)
Salary/rate: Salary is paying £48,000 - £52,800 depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
Qualifications needed consist of the below -
* NVQ Mechanical Level 2/3
* Other C&G Mechanical related quals i.e. AC/Refrigeration, Plumbing etc.
* 18th Edition - desired
* AP - desired

A well-established maintenance provider who are renowned for their prestigious contracts are currently recruiting for a Data Centre Shift Engineer site based at a Data Centre in East London. This reputable company are big believers in promoting staff internally and are currently looking to add a strong Shift Engineer to their team.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be carrying out technical maintenance, repairs and installations and providing first and second line support in our data centre to meet customer SLAs. This involves monitoring buildings, environmental conditions, and relevant systems as well as technical equipment, and reporting issues to minimise downtime and ensure maximum performance. You'll also be overseeing contractor work, making sure they follow health and safety procedures and documenting the results. From routine preventative maintenance to highlighting potential risks and reacting to immediate issues, you'll ensure our data centre meets all our customer needs.
Responsibilities:
* Proven engineering experience of air conditioning, UPS, generators, and LV systems
* Experience of working as a technician in an electrical or industrial environment
* Strong technical fault-finding skills using graphical information and alarm data.
* A thorough, accurate approach to completing tasks
* Good communication skills in English, including report writing.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* A can-do attitude, with the drive to take on new responsibilities.
Candidate requirements:
* The ideal candidate is client facing (job activities that involve direct interaction or contact with a client or customer)
* The ideal candidate has experience working in a Data Centre
* Strong building services background
