A UK leading tier one bank is looking for a Data Engineer to join their Payments Data team as they migrate their payments platform to AWS. Reporting directly into the Platform Manager. You'll be responsible for building, maintaining, testing and optimising a scalable data architecture, and carrying out data extractions and transformations.
This is a permanent, hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
You will be developing a clear understanding of data platform cost levers to build cost effective and strategic solutions
Developing comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s data structures and metrics
Collaborating closely with core technology and architecture teams in the bank to build data knowledge and data solutions
Requirements:
Hands on experience using Kafka & Java streaming, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB/S3,
Experience with Rest API and microservices on AWS/OnPrem
Understanding of Data Pipelines, Data Architecture, Data Modelling
